Brain geek | Entrepreneur | Mom | Mountain Girl

I lost a fight with my publisher over the title of my best selling book. They chose Mindful Parenting, I wanted Generation Stress. I wanted my title because I was Generation Stress – a member of the generation of stressed-out parents raising a generation of stressed-out kids.

Fast forward to today, and I have spent the past 12 years immersing myself in the research on the effects of our busy modern lives, and what this wackiness does to our brains and the brains of our children.

After the book came out and my speaking engagements to parenting groups grew, I began to be recruited by everyone from Fortune 500 companies to first responders, to address the growing impact of stress on their workforce. I created more programs to build resilience, gave a few TEDx talks, and started training and speaking to people all over the world. Before I knew it I had trained over 40,000 people in my methods worldwide.

I am known for my ability to make brain science accessible to people from the ages of 2 - 92, as well as my ability to create simple, practical solutions that can make a profound impact on people’s lives. I am not the sit-on-a-cushion for 20 minutes twice a day mindfulness guru – I am about integrating mindfulness into what you already do – in ways that positively impact your brain, your family, your career and your level of happiness and satisfaction within your life.

Let's Get Started

It’s hard to find the time. It seems we spend half of our day getting lunches made, trying to clear out our inbox, searching for that elusive soccer shin guard, running meetings and then running carpools. My reality is to come up with simple, brain based solutions that can fit into the context of my day, and your day, so we can make some really impactful, and really positive, changes.

about kristen race

My career has been spent finding solutions for schools, parents, businesses and medical professionals. And while I stay committed to serving these groups I now have turned a lot of my focus to supporting working women, especially working moms. Because as much as I like that glass of Chardonnay at the end of the day, I need some solutions to keep me thriving long before happy hour!
